El Refugio women's shelter in New Mexico, in conjunction with the "Literacy Link - Leamos" program. "I want to take this opportunity to share my heartfelt thank you to you both for sharing this wonderful book with me. It is a great inspiration and great help in my very time of need. I have been through some very difficult experiences recently and it's a great consideration to know that there are people like you who care and can selflessly help out of a sincere heart. You have done a great job of putting these wonderful thoughts on paper to share with the rest of the world especially those of us who can really appreciate the little moments in life that make life interesting and special."

"It has been a true inspiration on my daily living. Thank God for people like you all who love unconditionally." "I read today's May 3rd and I closed my eyes and actually realized how soothing a cat's purr is--how beautiful a baby's first words are." "It really uplifts my daily spirits." "It truly inspires me every morning to be grateful for the BIG and small blessings of God." "It really helps inspire me on the hard days and helps me remember how precious life is." "Your book just brings everything back to perspective." "It hits the heart so many different ways on so many different days." "I'm grateful this book was sent to me so that when and if I do get on my "pity pot" I can stop by realizing all that God has given me." "I will cherish this book and read day by day every day out of it." "It has really put a brightness to my day." "It has helped me become a more grateful person. It has been a blessing to me." "I thank you for helping inspire people in this sometimes hard world." "Someone turned me on to "Gratitude Works"--I've never seen anything quite like it! I've fallen in love with it." "Let me begin by saying that it is so beautiful, so inspiring, so real to truth. It's a wonderful feeling to know that someone in this world, takes the time out to do the things that you have done for women such as ourselves. I would like to say thank you and how much you've made a difference in touching of lives, our hearts and feelings, our thoughts!" "Even though I'm without freedom at this moment, there are a million things I should be grateful for so your book is a wonderful reminder." "I need the book because it could help me in my daily struggle fighting against a spiritual war, and also being in prison." "Each day of reading has been a stepping stone for a greater depth of gratitude for the small blessings that people so easily overlook or ignore throughout the events of a days spand. So may God continue to inspire and heighten your spiritual discernment to keep publishing inspirational literature for people like me." "You have given me a shorter way and much simpler way to acknowledge "God" at my age. "It's a nice little book, and it is real." "When talking to a friend, when they're feeling low, I read a grateful thought to them. It makes them feel good about themselves." "It helps me when I feel sad and lonely." "I am very well pleased by how much it has come through for me--every morning of the day that I wake up to by God's grace and your encouragement." "Your book was truly a blessing to me. Every time I read a passage, I feel more enthusiastic about starting my day. I pray that you continue to bless the world with these motivating verses." "Even considering where I'm currently housed, I still need and have a lot to be grateful for." "I really do enjoy this book because today I do have a lot of gratitude and this book just keeps on reminding me that I should have gratitude and to be very grateful for every little thing that God has blessed me with." "It helps me open my heart to love others and to love myself." "I read it day per day;. It helps me through my tough times." "I wake up and read it first thing in the morning and it brings sunshine to my days." "I read and try to memorize a saying each day." "Your book made me realize all of the things in life that I've taken for granted. It gives me hope and happiness as well. I've been trying to regain my faith in God and my spirituality as well. Your book has opened my eyes to the beauty that's in our world instead of all the ugliness that I've lived and seen... It's people like you that give people like me, a hope that we can change our lives and that we are deserving of a life that God intended for us." "I read it on a daily basis and try to make sure that I remind myself each day to be grateful for something - even in this very NON positive place." "After I read the page for the day I tell myself wow I can be grateful for that Gratitude is something to always look at." "I have read it every day since receiving it. It has really been a blessing. Being in a place like where I'm at, makes it hard to find things that you're grateful for, or even think about the little things out in the free world that we would normally take for granted much less be grateful for them. Thank you for helping to open my eyes for the things I should be grateful for." "I am very grateful and very fortunate to have read such a beautiful devotional." "It has inspired me to take time to praise God and count my blessings." "God bless you for what you are doing for offenders in Texas and other places." "We use your book as part of our daily study. We use it as part of our recovery and bible studies.""I really truly enjoy the book; it has so much meaning to life and love itself, it surely does open your heart to love." "Thank you so much for the beautiful book. I find it very inspirational. I very often use positive visualization to help relieve the stress that I feel at being here and going through some of the experiences that come with being in a place like this. I especially enjoyed the entry of August 10th. I was able to picture myself sitting on the veranda of an old plantation style house out in the country. I am swinging on the porch swing with a tall glass of lemonade beside me, watching my children catch fire flies. The soft breeze is gently blowing my hair. I can see every star in the sky. I hear crickets chirping, frogs croaking, and my children giggling. These thoughts help to bring a smile to my face and a bit of peace to my heart. And that is sometimes hard to come by here, and for that I am very grateful." "I read it daily without fail. Really makes you think of small things we seem to take for granted and just expect to be there. I have a whole new appreciation for things in my life that I am so grateful for." "My morning devotional time will never be the same."
